And the reality is

No, don’t go to the countryside. No, really don’t go. The reality is you will spend hours wading arse deep in the mud getting soaking wet come back cold and tired and bemoaning the fact you went. I spend as much time dodging wind and rain as I do walking anywhere. Taking cover under trees that let as much water through as they stop. The constant shall I take a coat just in case is invariably wrong. I end up baking in the...

Winter

There is something indefinable about the winter. Everybody says “oh what terrible weather we are having” really? Why is it bad? What is bad about it? The dark waters of the river undulate softly catching the light the surface covered with small patches of foam which drift slowly along with the current until they dissipate further down the course. Life The...

Being the best

[caption id="attachment_1511" align="aligncenter" width="730"] Being the best by getting very wet[/caption]     I was listening to Desert Island Discs. A lady Judge was being interviewed and she said the way she had got there was by being the best at what she did. Just for a laugh, I put this into google. Well, technically, the search was “how to be the best photographer”. I found this 11 Tips for being a better...
